Minor Change to Manual Agridoors

Please note that from Delivery 74593 (Allie Agratechnik), Manual Agridoors will be fitted with a different chain-wheel and hand chain. This is a detailed manufacturing change due to the continued investment in GBR's own tooling, and does not alter the functionality, appearance or operation of the door in any way.

The new and old chain & chainwheels are not compatible due to the difference in imperial and metric chain. The items can be identified by the following:

Chainwheel

Old version runs on a 1" shaft.
New version runs on a 20mm shaft.
New version has a slightly smaller diameter

Chain

Old imperial version has a Bright Zinc Plate finish which is light reflective.

New metric version is Galvanised which has a flat appearance. (Although Galvanising gives superior protection against corrosion, due to the extra cost we are still undecided on whether to continue this form of plating once the transition period has passed)

Spares of the old Imperial chain and chain-wheel will only be held for 1 to 2 years, not GBR's customary period of 7 years. If spares are required after this date we will offer favourable discount to change both items as a set.
