ELECTRIC AGRIDOOR UPGRADE
DESIGNATION R17
All Electric Agridoors ordered after 1st April 2003 will be supplied with the following new features. Listed in point 2 are the main enhancements for the controller.
1. Faster motor, increasing the operating speed by 40% from 15 sec/m to 9 sec/m
2. More powerful controller-
- Directional buttons on lid; button on fly-lead still a sequential single unit.
- In addition to a ~220V 100W output to operate a yard light/warning hooter, this can be programmed to flash at 1Hz just before and/or during door operation. If a radio controlled option is ordered the light can be turned on independently of operating the door via one of the spare buttons on the hand transmitter.
- Auto-closing facility (strongly recommend fitting of pneumatic safety edge if utilising this option#)
- Easier to upgrade with photo-beam and pneumatic safety edge#

Installation
The motor is of the same external design and utilises the same fitting brackets as current R11 unit. Setting the upper & lower limit switches is unchanged.
All Agridoors with the R17 faster motor will be supplied with a counter-balance spring in lieu of the free-end shaft supplied on the R11 pre-April models.
